Biography
Dr Radosav Jovanović (male). Radosav is a professor at the Division of Airport and Air Traffic Safety (APATC), UB-FTTE. He was educated at University of Belgrade (dipl. ing. and PhD) and University of Westminster, London, UK (MSc). He defended his doctoral thesis: ‘Economic measures for air traffic demand management’ in 2011.
Radosav is a leader of two undergraduate and one postgraduate course at UB-FTTE. Main fields of his expertise include air transport planning and policy, with a strong focus on air traffic flow and capacity management. The results of his research activities appear in more than 30 papers, in scientific journals and at international conferences. He was a coordinator of three international summer schools on air transport economics / ATM, and a local organisation chair of the 7th SESAR Innovation Days.
Radosav has 19 years of experience, during which he has been involved in a number of research and consulting studies. Most recently, he was a coordinator of the project “CADENZA” (SESAR ER4, 2020-2022) and coordinator and principal investigator of the Jane’s 2019 ATC-Innovation-Award-Winning project “COCTA” (SESAR ER1, 2016-2018), as well as the UB-FTTE team leader in the SESAR Knowledge Transfer Network “Engage” (2018-2022). Previously he participated in SESAR WP-E project SATURN (2013-2015), wherein he was a principal contributor, team leader for UB-FTTE and a leader of two work packages. Beforehand, he was a principal contributor and assistant project manager in the EPISMAS study (‘Economic Performance Indicators in Support of Mathematical ATC Simulations’), commissioned by EUROCONTROL CRDS (2007-2009), and a principal contributor to the TEN-CONNECT study, commissioned by EC DG TREN (2007-2009). He also participated in studies/projects for EUROCONTROL MUAC, SMATSA, Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communication, Serbian Ministry of Science and Technological Development, etc.
